Prospective pupils are always interviewed at Crookhey Hall School before they are offered a place. At the interview it is explained, as clearly as possible, how the school works, how we meet both individual needs and the needs of the school population, and outline the difficulties which can occur during the process.
All parents receive a copy of the prospectus and pupils receive their own handbook. If during a pupil’s time at school there are any concerns, problems or complaints, it is useful if they can be raised with the Head teacher as soon as possible. A complaint may be the result of perceived unfair treatment, an unwelcome or disputed decision, delay or dissatisfaction covering decisions or the quality of service. Complaints may be made by children, parents or a person acting on behalf of a child at school.
If after discussion, parties wish to address the issue further then the process is described within the complaints procedure. If you are unsure of what to do, or how to proceed, please do not hesitate to ask the school or a member of the appropriate Local Education Authority.
